In 1997 while
coaching his son’s first tackle football team, Coach Bobby Hosea invented the
DipNRipSticks to teach young football players how to tackle properly.
“I was no
different from any other parent. I was worried my son might get hurt, but now I
had 25 other sons to worry about. So I just prayed and the idea came to me! I
just never wanted to see any of those kids not be able to get up because they tackled wrong for me! I watched and was amazed at how fast DipNRipSticks built individual confidence and brought out the best in the entire team. They did it
right and they did it good…it’s simply a better way to instruct safe, effective
tackling.”
